If you think you are doomed to become diabetic because it “runs in your family,” take heart.
You inherit a susceptibility to Type II diabetes; you do not inherit diabetes. One of three Americans will become diabetic, with women more likely to develop diabetes than men.
Risk factors for developing diabetes include: a family history of diabetes; storing fat primarily in the belly; high triglycerides; low HDL (good) cholesterol; blood sugar higher than 200 thirty minutes after a meal; fasting blood sugar above 110; excess hair on the face or body (in women); or diabetes during pregnancy.
A person with any of these warning signs should immediately make lifestyle changes to prevent diabetes: avoid refined carbohydrates (foods made with flour, white rice, milled corn; all added sugars and drinks that contain sugar), exercise regularly, lose weight if you are overweight, and keep your weight controlled for the rest of your life. If you do this you will be at low risk for developing diabetes, even if you have the genes that make you susceptible.
The authors of one study showed that the average person who is diagnosed with diabetes at age 40 will die 11.6 year earlier than a non-diabetic and that he or she will be severely incapacitated with one or more side effects of diabetes 18.6 years before a non-diabetic becomes disabled by similar health problems. Anyone who has watched a loved one progress through the horrible consequences of uncontrolled diabetes should be strongly motivated to make the lifestyle changes that help you avoid ever becoming diabetic.

I know a lot of people out there would like to loss a few
pounds, or more importantly do not want to gain weight over the
Holiday season. Most people want to loss weight to look better,
the bigger issue is to fell better and have a healthier life
style without the health conditions associated with excess
weight. The majority of people want a quick easy weight loss
system that sheds pounds with little or no effort. The truth is,
there are new breakthrough’s that make that possible. The best
way to lose weight and keep it off is to incorporate a regular
exercise routine into your life. Walking after dinner every
night could be a good routine to get into for people who haven’t
been very active. Good weight loss supplements or fat burners
combined with a regular exercise program can be very effective
and rewarding in your life.
My research has lead to a very good solution. It may be
possible to get some help to lose the pounds you need to, or
prevent the gain from occurring in the first place, thus
avoiding the health conditions associated with excess weight.
All natural weight loss supplements are one of the best options
in getting that help, the best weight loss product should slowly
and naturally allow the body to lose fat, without added
preservatives or chemicals that can cause damage to your body.
Ideally, an herbal weight loss supplement should increase
energy, without giving you the jitters, caused by many diet
pills on the market. Always look for all natural ingredients
such as apple cider vinegar, cayenne just to mention a few.
Apple Cider Vinegar is a solution of acid. It is produced by
fermenting apples, and contains pectin, which is believed to be
the reason behind this solution’s fat burning effects. There is
even evidence of ancient Egyptians using apple cider for weight
loss. Cayenne prized for thousands of years for its healing
power. The combination of these and other natural ingredients
have formed a very effective weight loss supplement, that is now
available online. The fat burning properties combined with the
energy increasing ingredients gives you the head start you need
to keep the daily exercise program going, and the pound falling
off. It is possible to get rid of the excess weight, and keep it
off once and for all. Investigate this supplement for yourself.

The method know as 3d ultrasound is used in early pregnancy, it provides 3d images of the unborn baby. Most times these ultrasound samples are rapidly captured and combined and animated to make a 4d ultrasound scan.
Three dimensional scans works in a similar way to the usual ultrasound methods except that the ultrasound pulses are directed from multiple directions. The ultrasound waves are reflected back then captured to provide information to construct a 3-dimensional image in very much the same way as 3d movies. 3 dimesional ultasound scanning was started by stephen smith and olaf von ramm at duke university.
It’s important to understand that sonologists worldwide have always conjured 3d images of anatomy or pathology in their minds while doing 2d scans. However, until recently it was impossible to do this kind of reconstruction on on information using ultasound scanning. With the introduction of 4d baby scans for the first time allowed us a view into the brain of a sonologist and allowing us to reconstruct the images on the ultrasound machine.
3d imaging should utilize ultrasound energy following the same limits as conventional 2d ultrasound to create the 3d images. There is no data to suggest any harm due to 3d ultasound scanning, its use in non-medical situations should be undertaken with an understanding of the risks involved.

Whether you use aromatherapy as a stand alone or as a complementary first aid treatment there are several aromatic oils I’d like to recommend you have in your aromatic first aid kit. My recommendations include important details for you to consider when purchasing an oil, such as its Latin Name, Country of Origin, Method of Extraction and Part of the Plant Used. I also list the best oils to consider when creating a synergistic blend.
GERMAN CHAMOMILE (Matricaria recutita) - Certified Organic, Steam Distilled Flowers, both England and the USA grow and distill lovely oils.
German Chamomile is a lovely shade of deep blue - like Blue Tansy it can stain, so take care. Its aroma is deeply melodic and sweet. It reminds me of fresh mown hay!
Keywords: CALMING & ANTI-INFLAMMATORY As an Anti-inflammatory German Chamomile is my first choice when treating inflamed, irritated skin!
It acts as a sedative or pain reliever, for “angry” situations and feverish conditions including, burns, cuts, inflamed joints, migraine headache, teething pain, toothache, injuries, sprains, and swelling, as well as various aches and pains, arthritis, colic, cramps and stress related complaints.
A very relaxing and peaceful oil, German Chamomile quiets the mind and body by calming emotional feeling states. German Chamomile summons sleep and is excellent for insomnia.
Use it to relieve tension or stress-related headaches and intestinal spasms. A revitalizing and comforting tonic German Chamomile stimulates the production of red blood cells and is known to relieve aches and pains.
Good results have been reported for relieving distinctly feminine complaints like irregular menses, premenstrual tension, or menopausal upsets, as well as cystitis, rheumatic type pain and loss of appetite.
A highly respected oil for over 3,000 years, German Chamomile has a long history of helping skin conditions, such as dermatitis, boils, acne, rashes, eczema and psoriasis.
It regulates the skin’s natural sebum production and is outstanding for balancing dry, itchy or flaky skin conditions, as well as treating too oily or dry skin and sensitive skin types.
German Chamomile is effective when used in a carrier oil for direct application to your skin. Use it in a blend for soothing inflamed skin such as acne or barber’s rash. Because of its benign nature Chamomile may be used as a remedy for diaper rash.
Try a synergistic blend of German Chamomile with any of the following aromatic oils: Clary Sage, Frankincense, Geranium, Neroli, Petitgrain, Sandalwood, or Vetiver.
Please join me for part III in this series of articles to learn about the next essential oil I recommend you have in your aromatic first aid kit, Eucalyptus globulus.

My name is Itzik Keidar and, I am coping, quite well with “Cancer” “medical diagnosis” and “treatments” (To me they are just words..!). It’s been 12 years since I had a surgery to remove my type of Cancer and thank God…
I’m Still Defeating It, All The Way!!!
Here is my story.
12 years ago, I had a Melanoma skin cancer.
Melanoma is not as painful as Mesothelioma but it’s certainly as wicked, and it had to be removed.
After the surgery, my doctor informed me that I’ll probably get the same cancer in 2 years, unless I’ll visit the hospital every day for the next 3 years and get Interferon injections.
I remember thinking to myself… “If I’ll follow doctor’s recommendations, it will make me be aware of the word “Cancer” every single day and would give it the power that this word doesn’t deserve.
I don’t recommend you to do the same, but regardless of my wife’s opinion, I took a decision, not only to reject the treatments, but also to ignore the periodical medical surveillances. Deep in my heart, I knew! That if God would decide to take my life then so be it…
Today, 12 years later, I am ignoring, even, the word “cholesterol” and stick to my insight that
Death is a part of life!
Accepting this insight alone changed my entire life.
To have the guts doing what I did, one must have a very strong belief. For me it was more then a belief,
I Knew that every thing will be all right.
: ; : ; : ;
I think it is a really good thing that you are gaining information to make your decisions.
Since my father died from Lung cancer, I know how hard it is to cope with it without enough information available. I believe, that knowledge and information are a very important part in the process of defeating Mesothelioma cancer or any other type of cancer.
Understanding that you, or one in your family, are the one who,
faced with Mesothelioma Diagnosis and that you have the right and
the ability to make the decisions yourself, is foremost to keep in mind.
Only you know what you are truly capable of !
When you are asking for answers and you are feeling confused, come back here and ask.
I am all here for you and I can point you to some good Mesothelioma resourses.
You are not alone!
Thank You,
And Good Luck With Your Journey!
Sincerely, Itzik Keidar

Diabetes mellitus is a disorder in which the pancreas fails to secrete sufficient insulin or the body’s decreased ability to use insulin. Diabetes mellitus is Greek for ‘a passing through of sweetness’ which refers to the passing of sugar rich urine, a characteristic of the disease. It is a very serious disorder, sometimes fatal and is the leading cause of death in Western society because of its damage to the cardiovascular system.
In a healthy body food is digested to release glucose into the blood. This causes beta cells in the pancreas to release insulin into the bloodstream. Insulin helps in the transportation of glucose from the blood to the liver and muscle cells. This can then be released later into the blood for metabolism. If the pancreas fails to produce sufficient amounts of insulin or if there is insulin resistance then diabetes will set in.
There are two types of diabetes, Insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) also known as juvenile-onset diabetes, type 1 diabetes and Non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) also known as maturity-onset diabetes, type 2 diabetes. Both environmental and genetic factors contribute to both forms of diabetes mellitus but the exact cause of diabetes mellitus is unknown. In both types, excess sugar in the blood known as hyperglycemia needs to be removed by the kidneys. Excessive thirst, frequent urination and hunger are the symptoms.
Non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) also known as maturity-onset diabetes, type 2 because it typically occurs in obese people over 35 years of age, although some obese children have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes due to lack of exercise and poor diet. The clinical symptoms of NIDDM are mild, and the high glucose levels can be controlled by exercise, weight loss, diet and sometimes a drug like glyburide (DiaBeta) is used to stimulate the pancreatic beta cells to produce insulin. Some type 2 diabetics have sufficient amounts of insulin in the blood and diabetes happens not because of shortage of insulin but because cells become desensitized due to down-regulation of insulin receptors. Ketosis rarely develops in NIDDM.
Eating foods containing carbohydrates such as rice, potatoes, bread and cereals will raise blood sugar and insulin levels. This sugar raising effect of a food is called ‘the glycaemic index’ and it measure how quickly the carbohydrate is absorbed by the body. Individuals whose diet consists of a high amount of sugary foods and foods with high glycaemic index are more prone to develop type 2 diabetes. Those whose diet consists of a high amount of foods which have a low glycaemic index are at low risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Typical foods with a low glycaemic index are oats, fruit, beans and peas. To prevent or control type 2 diabetes it is best to avoid processed and snack foods which are typically high in sugar and eat high fibre whole foods such as oats, fruits, vegetables and seeds which have a low glycaemic index, regular exercise to reduce excess weight is also very important. Taking high fibre supplements such as psyllium, guar gum, oat bran, pectin, glucomannan and fenugreek seeds has shown to be beneficial to those suffering from type 2 diabetes. Stopping smoking and cutting down on alcohol will be beneficial to the diabetic.
The following supplements may help if you are suffering from Type 2 Diabetes.
