New Single from Shakira Is a Return to Form for Pop Singer

Filed under: Better Music — admin @ 10:43 am

Three years since Shakira’s “Hips didn’t (Don’t) Lie”, she is back with a fang bang as the “She Wolf”! We are talking of Shakira’s latest complete album “She Wolf” which hit the stores on 23rd November’09 and has already flooded the airwaves. The Colombian singer-songwriter offers up another mix of Spanish and English jams in her new album

Shakira’s last album three years back was “Oral Fixation, Vol. 2″ with the famous “Hips Don’t Lie” and this time she takes on an edgier, dance-beat element with her music, drifting away from some of the soulful ballads on her last album.

She Wolf song hasn’t yet touched the same position Hips Don’t Lie had and it has some more way to be the #1 song in Billboard Hot 100. Right now the title score is at position 11 in the Billboard Hot 100.

Talking about some other songs in the album, “Did It Again” and “Why Wait” are both fast numbers adding spice to the album. Shakima and Kid Cudi teamed up for a remix of “Did It Again” and so did she with Wycleaf Jean and Lil Wayne in some other tracks. “Give it Up to Me” with Lil Wayne is likely to be a popular one in the college scene.

The album is an upbeat mixture of rhythm that makes the listeners feels like grooving all night. But unfortunately, not all the songs stand upto the mark of She Wolf track!

The album might not be Shakira’s best one, but indeed ranks among the top albums. If you have already learnt the lyrics of She Wolf and learnt how to move your body like Shakira did in the video, then take a more challenging act…listen to “Loba” the Spanish song and try to by heart that!

And if you came to know of the album just now reading this article, go and grab your copy at the stores soon before it is sold off!

Take Private Singing Lessons to Improve Your Voice

Filed under: Better Music — admin @ 11:23 am

There are those who are born with the most beautiful singing voice. Then there are those who were not born with it but they developed it through hard work and practice. And then there are the people who think that they can sing so they see no need for “working on it” and they continue to shatter glass and make people smile and giggle on popular television shows such as American Idol. If you have always wanted to sing, then there are lots of good private singing lessons in London that are available.

Which kind of person are you? Are you the gifted, the trained or the big joke. No matter which group you are in, if you want to learn how to improve your singing, there are things for you to work on. First step, admit that you want to improve what you have, or something you don’t have just yet. Keep in mind that learning how to sing requires a lot of hard work, patience and practice. Putting belief in yourself is also important, so you can pull all the tasks off. The question is… how does someone can improve their singing?

Relax. This is the very first thing that you should do. Your voice might break and you might not hit the right notes if your tense. What you need to do is to keep that tension off your neck, your singing voice and your body. Breathing in and breathing out slowly is the key to make your body more relaxed. You’ll know if you are tensed if your body movement is too fast, which is not a good thing to see when you’re singing.

Another thing you will want to do is to find your natural volume. Do not try to whispers the words to a song out and do not try to scream them out either. There is never a reason to be overly loud when signing. If you ever have to sing the at a football stadium, there will be a microphone for you. Make sure that your volume is not forced and that it flows naturally. When your voice is at a natural pitch, you will find it much easier to please the crowd.

Take singing lessons. Now, if you haven’t tried yet, taking singing lessons will really help you a lot to improve your singing. A vocal lesson or two can contribute a lot for you to learn how to sing properly. It’s important to get training of course from those highly qualified singing instructor who can leave you great singing tips and techniques. The Benefits of CD Mastering Software

Filed under: Better Music — admin @ 4:42 pm

There are several editions of CD mastering software on the market today. Many of these programs are a good purchase for recording artists who adhere to the “do it yourself” philosophy. CD mastering software is also well-suited for novice recording artists who have a limited budget. Software programs are available for most major platforms, including Microsoft, Apple, and Linux. These software programs range in price from around $75 to over two thousand dollars for packs of high-end software. The more expensive programs have many more features, but they are also very complicated and may confuse users.

Many programs that are included with most computers, such as Real Player and MusicMatch offer some types of mastering services. Both of these programs allow users to burn CDs and choose the order of the songs. There are add-ons to these programs that let people equalize the volume of the tracks on the CD and even add a delay between the songs as needed.

Some CD mastering software gives users almost as many options as the professional CD mastering facilities. A major advantage of CD mastering software is its easy incorporation with home recording software like Pro Tools and other similar programs. Most CD mastering software programs support music 16-, 24- and 32- bit music files.

These CD mastering software programs can perform countless functions. Many are designed to have the same “drag and drop” operation as Pro Tools and other recording and editing software. Aside from traditional mastering functions like song sequencing, fades, and setting time between songs, some software allows users to add effects such as reverb and echo. Most programs have features that can remove excess noise from tracks as well. Many high-end software programs can produce masters that sound as good as those made in expensive facilities.

CD mastering software programs can provide a great cost-effective way to master a CD. Many programs have recording features that go along with the mastering programs. CD mastering software is perfect for independent recording artists and artists who want to have control over all aspects of the production.
