As this is the only official Brighton Pride magazine this is the best source of information about where to be and what to do including the, main event on Preston Park and the Carnival Parade.Prides organising body happily announced the theme for this year’s celebrations in September 2008. Following a record number of suggestions from Pride members and the public the Board of Trustees and Staff decided eventually for the theme ‘Pride Beside The Seaside’ Pride in Brighton & Hove promotes equality and diversity, and advances education to eliminate discrimination against the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community. It raises awareness of these issues by promoting and facilitating a host of events including Winter Pride and the annual free summer festival. It also fulfils its objectives by making grants and/or donations to other charitable and voluntary organisations.
