There are conferences being held at iHollywood forums about coming up with full-motion videos for your cell phone. This service will be provided for the new Nokia 3650 wireless phone. At first one might think this is a cool new idea and concept, but it is not.
The idea has been around since the early 80’s and it never took off then and most likely won’t now and there are good reasons it won’t, some of which are and not limited to:
1) The screen resolution is way too small to properly enjoy and view the full-motion pictures designed for large screen plasma TV’s.
2) It can be almost guaranteed that if this movie was attempted to be played on another phone, the battery would give up half way, if not earlier. Regardless, even on the Nokia, the batteries can only last up to an hour longer after the entire movie is done playing (provided the movie is approximately 1.5 hours in length)
3) Lastly, the quality of the movie would not be so great, as referenced in point one, not only that but the movies will be in the RealOne format, which in geek terms means, long buffering time and very poor video quality.
4) The price of this is targeted at $20 per movie, because of “the ease and mobility” carriers’ provide for the content. This as we know, is more expensive then watching the movie in the theatres and almost the same as buying a DVD that you can keep forever or renting up to 4 blockbuster movies.
5) If there is a call or incoming message, it will most cover and block the screen that the movie will be playing on temporarily.
These reasons are sufficient enough to not want to go and subscribe to a mobile content provider that are over-charging for a service that is not new or very user-friendly.

Did you know that it is possible to get a mobile phone totally cost free withfree line rental for 12 months? What that means is that you can get a free cell phone with free inclusive minutes and free inclusive text messages without paying a cent for them!Right now your wondering whether this is a bum offer, but no this is 100% genuine! The way to make it work is to beat mobile retailers at their own game. Understand this, mobile phone shops advertise free line rentla mobile phones just to attract potential customers into the shop. But then they attach loads of catches to the packages to decrease the quantities of customers that take out and correctly order a free line rental offer. The way 12 month free line rental promotions operate is that customers sign up for a mobile phone contract as usual, and make sure they pay the bill as they would with any other contract. Then, at pre determined times within the term of the mobile phone contract you are able to claim cash back. At this time the shop that sold you the cell phone sends you a cheque. Normally three separate claims have to be made before you recover the total cost of your mobile. Now, the stores make the process pretty hard , as they ask that you produce phone bills (which may be lost). They may also dictate specific dates for the claim (which you may forget) and impose various other loopholes and barriers. This is why you have to be smart and beat them at their own game!Read the contract fully, put all dates in your diary, do not misplace the paperwork and make your claim on time and you should geta cell phone completely free for a full 12 months! The fact is that the shops don’t mind throwing away a few of these mobile handsets cost free as it is a good promotion for them. Being in a position to publicize “free cellphones” enhances the profile of their business, and, as they recognize merely a small number of customers will get through all the pitfalls needed to get a 12 months free line rental mobile, it doesn’t actually cost too much money!A 12 months free line rental deal may not be the best choice for you as you must be organized and be sure you properly finish all of the parts of your claim properly, but, a 12 months free line rental mobile is certainly something worth considering if you are price conscious.

It is true to say that in many circumstances imitation may not be the sincerest form of flattery. However it is also hard to overlook the role of successful Euro transition in reviving interest in currency unions elsewhere, as leading figures such as Peter Sutherland have noticed. Various events have put back the target dates of 2010 for a Gulf Cooperation Council single currency, and 2011 for an Eastern Caribbean States economic union are fast becoming an unrealistic prospect; even more so, the single East Asian currency proposed by the Asian Development Bank’s then-president Tadao Chinoall the way back in 2004, and the African Union’s plan for an African Economic Community by 2023. But it’s a tribute to the Euro’s relatively smooth launch, and early stability of the Eurozone as a whole, that these other currency integrations were suggested and timetabled at all.
A single regional currency has also shown other benefits: one external exchange rate to take care of instead of Reductions in exchange risk and transaction cost were a major selling-point of economic and monetary union (EMU) within the EU. These benefits have been proportionally greater for many of its smaller less-developed country (LDC) trading partners. The Millennium Development Goals are still largely hampered by the European Union dragging its feet on farm reform (disrupting conditions for many low-income agricultural producers); and by its changeover to WTO compliant trade pacts that force reciprocal concessions from those enjoying tariff-free free goods and service trade, with a risk of killing their emerging industries in infancy. At least, through the Euro, Europe has been able to deliver in one key area to compensate. A single EU currency significantly reduces the costs and risks to LDC central banks of monitoring exchange rates and external debt with limited reserves - and to LDC businesses of hedging (or gambling with) currency risk when they borrow, exchange capital or engage in trade with Europe.
However the United Kingdom’s conspicuous absence from the single currency has resulted in a serious dilution of these emerging-world benefits, especially for those countries whose trade was steered towards Britain by colonisation and the subsequent ’sterling area’. It has also weighed heavily on the zone’s new members most notably Cyprus and Malta, whose visible tourism trade is still highly UK centric but whose imported fuel, goods and services come mainly from elsewhere where the single Euro currency prevails. The United Kingdom’s trade integration and structural convergence with the rest of the Euro Zone, which makes its monetary union with them increasingly appropriate, also means that LDCs once focused on the sterling or Euro zones are now deeply engaged with both. These too-frequent victims of ’structural adjustment’ await a much less painful policy adjustment, from London, that would lessen the risk of a currency crisis recurring.
